About the Weeks: February began full of festivities with the celebration of the 100th day of school and our second library day of the year. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend Library Day. The students had a great time and always love being able to share time at school with their parents. Pre-K celebrated the 100th day of school one day after the rest of the school so that we would have time for all of our celebration activities. On the 100th day we drew 100 items on the board, made necklaces with 100 pieces of cereal, filled our bags with 100 stickers and treats, and made towers with 100 cups. In math we focused especially on recognizing and counting the numbers 11-20. In language arts our focus was on the letter N as well as identifying letters at the beginning of words. In Social Studies we were learning about the police officer and continued to work on our jobs flip book. In Science we started discussing the sense of smell.
